Scott Six Bio
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, tenor Scott Six has appeared with numerous major opera houses since completing his studies with renowned bass Giorgio Tozzi at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Mr. Six has appeared with Portland Opera as Spoletta in Tosca, Malcolm in Macbeth, 1st Priest/1st Armored Man in The Magic Flute, and as the Male Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia, which christened Portland Opera’s Studio Theater. Other appearances include Canio in Pagliacci with West Bay Opera, Opera in the Heights in Houston, TX and Stockton Opera, where he has also appeared as B.F. Pinkerton in Madam Butterfly. In 2012 he performed Bacchus in Winter Opera St. Louis' production of Ariadne auf Naxos.
Mr. Six has also appeared as a featured soloist with the Charlottesville & University Symphony, Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Bravo! Vancouver, the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, and the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra.
In 2008, Mr. Six was a finalist and winner of the Wagner prize in the 2nd Annual Irene Dalis Voice Competition in San Jose, CA, and in 2009 was a finalist in the 46th Francisco Viñas International Singing Contest in Barcelona Spain. In 2010, Mr. Six was awarded 1st Place: Wagner Division in the Liederkranz Foundation Vocal Competition in New York.
Scott lives in New Jersey with his wife Amy and his sons, Jake and Teddy.
